Although the weather was not too good, with rain and ice last Saturday, we had a wonderful time and turn out for Christmas dinner for the homeless and compromised folks in downtown Toronto. Our team of 48 people from Wallaceburg, Chatham and surrounding area traveled to Toronto on Friday December 20th and began preparations for the Saturday dinner. We worked along side of the great folks at “Street Connection”, an inner-city ministry. On Dec. 21 we served about 700 people a full turkey Christmas dinner. There were 4 seatings throughout the day. The children were given gifts and the adults were given surprise bags including mittens, socks, scarves, hats and treats. Everyone went away with a full tummy and a smile on their face (even the volunteers). God blessed this event and we all experienced the true meaning of Christmas – the love that comes from Heaven!!!!
